Spinach is a super-food. It is loaded with tons of nutrients in a low-calorie package. Dark, leafy greens like spinach are important for skin, hair, and bone health. They also provide protein, iron, vitamins, and minerals.

The possible health benefits of consuming spinach include improving blood glucose control in people with diabetes, lowering the risk of cancer, improving bone health, and supplying minerals and vitamins (vitamin-A majorly).

Spinach has been used by various cultures throughout history, notably in Mediterranean, Middle-Eastern, and South-East-Asian cuisines. It can be incorporated quite easily into any diet, as it is cheap and easy to prepare.

This blog consist of a savory dish from spinach, it can benefit the body, and a range of flavorsome ways to include this in the diet.

RECIPE

Serving : 4pax ; Time : 10–15 min ; cooking temperature : high

Ingredients required:

Spinach — 250gms

Chilli flakes — 5gms

Sugar — 10gms

Salt — to taste

Chat masala — 5gms

Refined oil — for deep frying

*Garnish (optional)

Brown onion -10gms

Sesame seeds — 10gms

Method:

STEPS:

1. Wash the spinach three times in still water until it floats & the debris got sedimented. Pat-dry all the leaves thoroughly & align in a way to shred its julienne.

2. Deep fry the spinach julienne for about 2–3 min, till it becomes crispy.

3. Ground the sugar, chili flakes & chat masala in mortar & pestle to make a

5. Season & garnish the spinach while plating, serve it at room temperature.

Serving tip:

Accompany it with any kind of hot beverage, like- kehwa, lemon tea, etc.
